General Information

Entries:: Send entries by U.S. mail with payment by check. Or you may send entries by email to: Northamericanbriardclub@gmail.com and payments through Venmo or PayPal (family and friends) to our club treasurer H Peter Simenauer at petersimenauer@gmail.com, 269-352-4001. If using a credit card through PayPal, please add 5%. No entries will be taken without payment.

Event notes: Entries will be limited to 140 dogs total. Day of show entries will only be available if the limit has not been reached. Judging program will be posted on the North American Briard Club Facebook page and website.

The theme for the weekend is Under the Sea. Exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their set-ups and participate in the costume parade with their dogs on Saturday before Best In Show. Nice prizes will be given for Best Set-Up, Best Exhibitor Costume and Best Dog Costume! There will be a decorated Under the Sea self-serve photography area so that you may take your own photos.

Best of the Best is offered on Sunday. After the Best in Show judging on Sunday, all of the winners of Best in Show, Best Altered in Show, Best Veteran and Best Novice Puppy from all six shows will compete for BEST OF THE BEST! This is a very prestigious award and the winner will receive a gorgeous rosette and prize.

SPOT evaluations will be offered during show hours on Saturday. Evaluator is Laurie Soutar. Cost is $15. You can arrange the evaluation time around your ring times.

All dogs completing new conformation titles at any of these shows will receive a special neck ribbon award medallion.

We will hold a raffle with many wonderful items so please bring some extra cash to purchase tickets. The money from the raffle helps to defray the cost of having such a nice show at such a beautiful venue. If you have any items that you would like to donate to our raffle, please contact the show chairperson at skdemarco777@gmail.com.

The Fort Myers Skatium is a wonderful, large, air-conditioned facility There is plenty of room for crating and grooming. No electricity is available. The concession stand will be open for breakfast & lunch. There is plenty of parking and an adjoining park where your dogs may be exercised. RV's and campers may stay overnight at no cost however there are no hookups available. http://fmskatium.org/

Personal belongings, crates and grooming equipment can remain overnight at the facility but the club and the facility are not responsible for any loss or damage. Dogs may NOT remain in the facility overnight.

We are so very happy that many hotels in the vicinity have agreed to accept dogs and we will work cooperatively with them to assure that our exhibitors respect the properties. It is expected that all exhibitors staying at hotels will clean up after their dog/s and will keep the rooms clean of dog debris. Exhibitors not following hotel rules, nor cleaning up after their dogs will be reported to UKC.

Refund Policy:
Entry fees shall NOT be refunded once a dog is recorded in the Judges' Book by the Show Secretary. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, severe weather such as hurricanes or other acts beyond the control of the host organization it is impossible to open or to complete a show, no refunds will be given.
