Virtual Premier event to be held Saturday, August 22!

How it works

This one-day event on August 22nd is a Virtual Total Dog Challenge where participants submit a conformation and performance video of their Total Dogs beforehand. Videos must be submitted within the entry window. Conformation videos will be viewed by licensed UKC judges and selected group winners will compete for Virtual Total Dog Best in Show on August 22nd.

The winner's grand prize package will include free entries for one dog in 2021 Premier (up to $200)!

In addition to our virtual competition, the event will also include live Q&A sessions hosted by UKC staff and representatives. Clubs may also join in on the fun and host breed seminars or set up a virtual cocktail hour to meet and connect with other dog fanciers.

Participation Levels

Virtual Total Dog Challenge Rules

  1. Entries will be taken on the UKC website starting on Monday, July 27, 2020. Information on how to submit videos will be provided after your entry is received.
  2. Videos must be submitted by Monday, August 10 at 4:30 Eastern Time. Entries will not be refunded due to failure of video submission.
  3. Entry must include a conformation video of your dog and a video of the same dog participating in a UKC-recognized performance or hunting event. Judges will make decisions based on conformation videos only.
  4. Dogs will be categorized by groups and UKC Judges will determine their 4 group placements from the Conformation videos.
  5. Dogs must be a minimum of 6 months old to enter.

Conformation Video Requirements:

  • View of dog from front, side, and rear.
  • Close-up of the dog's bite.
  • Dog's movement towards and away from the camera.
  • Side gait.
  • Free stack.

Performance Video Requirements

  • Performance videos can be from your personal residence or of a past trial.
  • UKC-recognized performance events include: Agility, Dock Jumping, Drag Racing, Lure Coursing, Nosework, Obedience, Rally Obedience, and Weight Pull. Dogs can also qualify with any UKC-recognized hunting event.
