UKC Top Ten Coonhound Bench Show Program: Now Offers $15,000 Total Event Purse!

To be awarded at Winter Classic in 2021!

December 26, 2019

First Top Ten Coonhound Bench Show Invitational for the new event purse: 2021 Winter Classic for points earned at UKC Licensed Coonhound Bench Shows starting November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2020.

How it works: UKC will tabulate and publish the Top Ten rankings monthly as is customary for this program. Points in this program are earned at any UKC licensed bench show and are based on the number of dogs defeated at each show.

This revitalized program is designed to provide Bench Show participants and their dogs an incentive to enter bench shows with the chance to compete for a year-end payout to reward those exemplary dog & handler teams winning in the Finals. Renewed focus on bench shows in this way will see the discontinuation of the Purina Points race. Dogs can earn Top Ten Bench Show points at ANY of the hundreds of UKC licensed bench shows across the country in the competition year for their chance to qualify.

Points are finalized by December 31, 2020. Invitations will be mailed in January 2021 for qualified dogs to attend the Top Ten Coonhound Bench Show Invitational at Winter Classic 2021.

Earnings:

2021 Winter Classic Top Ten Bench Show Overall Winner: $3,000
Six Breed Winners: $2,000 each
