UKC Performance Rewards Program (PRP) Discontinuation Notice
2024 payouts to be mailed in April, and 2025 payments to refunded.

In 2004 UKC announced a progressive and forward-thinking program that would appeal to coonhound breeders and competitors alike. Inspired by a highly successful program from the horse industry, UKC unveiled an avenue for breeders and competitors to pursue monetary rewards while preserving the traditions of the sport.
The UKC Performance Rewards Program (PRP) realized immediate acceptance and success and for two decades, providing an opportunity for those houndsmen who wished to hunt for monetary rewards an opportunity to do so without forcing changes upon the whole UKC Coonhound community. For many years it was the best of both worlds. The Performance Rewards Program will forever be remembered as timely and significant in the history of United Kennel Club.
In the wake of more recent and widely accepted new programs offering similar benefits, the effectiveness of the Performance Rewards Program has dwindled, and the decision has been made to discontinue the program, effective April 7, 2025.
We thank all the breeders and competitors who supported the Performance Rewards Program through its successful run.
The 2024 payout will happen in April like normal. If youve paid into 2025, your nomination fees will be refunded.
Depending on your payment method, you will receive your refund in one of the following ways:
- If you made your payment by card, your refund will be processed directly to the card you used, starting on April 7.
- If you made your payment by check or money order, your refund check will be mailed to you from the UKC office starting April 7.
