UKC Clash of Champions Crowns First Winner
Congratulations to Trever and Cory McQuain and HBCH TNT's 3MC Queen of Hearts
April 19, 2022
Congratulations go out to Trever and Cory McQuain, of Ohio, and HBCH TNT's 3MC Queen of Hearts, who took home the $10,000 first prize at the inaugural UKC Clash of Champions event on Thursday, April 14, in Zanesville, Ohio.
DOB: 7/4/2018
Sire: WORLDHBCH GRHBCH(4) TNT 3MC Raising Cain
Dam: PCH CH GRHBCH(2) Sundown Cid
Nearly 100 Beagles representing 13 states qualified for the Clash of Champions, by racking up at least five cast wins in the year 2021, and regional competition held across four different clubs on April 2 trimmed the list down to 32.
Those 32 would advance to Zanesville to compete for a share of a $35,000 total purse in this first-time event. Nine states were represented in the field: Ohio (11), West Virginia (7), Missouri (4), New York, Michigan (3 each), Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and Iowa (1 each). There was a laundry list of championships represented, including several world champions, with this event truly drawing the best of the best.
In the end, our final cast saw two males and two females representing four different states--Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia competing for the top prize, but it was the Queen who took home the crown.
