Judge Of The Year Nominee

  • Travis Meadows

Travis spent quite a bit of time this past quarter with a stopwatch in his hand helping clubs with judging duties. His assignments added up to over a week judging dogs this quarter alone. Thank you for donating so much time and energy judging dogs so that the rest of our sport can enjoy a day of participating under a qualified, fair, and impartial Judge.

Club Of The Year Nominee

  • K9 Fanciers

K9 Fanciers has continued a trend this season. For the third quarter in a row, a Michigan club has claimed the nomination for club of the year. In a quarter filled with more Dog of the Year events than the previous two combined, K9 Fanciers still managed to draw a significant crowd full of competitive dogs. Congratulations to the crew over at K9 Fanciers!

Youth Handler Of The Year Nominee

  • Zach Meadows

This young man had a very successful quarter. He is no stranger to the podium and is proving to be quite a formidable handler. Zach, congratulations on your success last quarter, good luck in the fourth quarter!

Ambassador Of The Year Nominee

The ambassador of the year is a unique award because there is no metric used to calculate who was the most involved or helpful over the past three months. If somehow, we did quantify this award, we would have a tie between countless people every quarter. This sport is driven forward by the welcoming, respectful, and helpful nature of all the participants. Ambassadors and nominees, past, present, and future should hold themselves to a higher standard and be role models for new and existing members.

  • Travis Meadows

A name that is familiar in this quarters nominations perhaps, but it is well-deserved and cannot be denied. His peers have noted his selfless donation of time, energy, resources, knowledge, and positivity and made it a point to ensure he is recognized in this category. Not only is he one to jump in and help any way he can at events, but he is also just as helpful to his fellow competitors, both new and veteran. He will take the time to help uplift fellow handlers who are having a bad day and is one of the first ones to congratulate someone for their success. Thank you, Travis, for being such a notable ambassador and role model in the sport!

Dog Of The Year Standings

Now that we are three quarters of the way done with this seasons Dog of the Year events, we are getting a pretty good idea of how the new format is going to work out. We have hit a total of 11 events with only three weekends left. This quarter encompassed the largest amount of events, more than any other quarter, with a total of six weekend events; thats 12 opportunities to get a qualifying run! Take a look at the third quarter ranking to see what dogs are in the top ten:
