HUNTING BEAGLE RULES PROPOSALS 2024
This year UKC will accept rule change proposals for consideration and applicable for the running rules in its Hunting Beagle format.

This is an opportunity for active and experienced supporters to be involved and submit a proposal they think would be advantageous when it comes to the best interest of the sport and the type of true hunting dog it promotes.

The following information applies to all proposals.

  • Must be submitted to and received by United Kennel Club by August 15th.
  • Email to the Director of Hunting Ops (agingerich@ukcdogs.com)
  • Make sure you put forth a lot of thought, have discussed, and have sufficient support of other active, experienced participants before submitting a proposed change.
  • It is mandatory to include, with the proposal, a reason for the change, the intent of the change, and how it would advantageously affect the better interest of the sport or be considered beneficial in some manner.
  • A proposal may be adjusted or amended by UKC to accommodate the variables of similar proposals received.
  • Submitting a proposal does not ensure it is on the official ballot, as determined by UKC.
  • All proposals on the official ballot will be voted on by a committee at the World Hunt in October 2024. It takes a majority vote in favor of to pass any proposal.
  • The committee is made up of UKC Field Representatives and two experienced individuals selected by the National Hunting Beagle Association.
  • Any proposal that is approved and passed by the committee will go in effect on January 1, 2025.
