The year end awards program for the Elite Shed Dog Series will have a new look for the ESDS program's fourth season. The awards program will be called UKC Elite Awards and will be expanded to not only include recognition of a top dog and youth handler but recognition in several other important categories as well. Information pertaining to season four will be made available in the official rules for the Elite Shed Dog Series and will soon be posted on the UKC website.
It has been our goal to review the year end awards programs each year and make changes that we feel will have a positive impact on the sport. We are very excited to offer the UKC Elite Awards and to recognize some deserving dogs, individuals and clubs in the coming months.
Guided by the belief that dogs make a difference by being the best partner a human can have in the field, on the job, or in a competition event, UKC is a community for people and dogs to pursue excellence together. Founded in 1898, UKC has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Dogs That Do More, and their owners, by providing essential resources to help owners and breeders make informed decisions. The dog-human bond is celebrated through family-friendly programs highlighting the instincts and heritage of purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike at over 15,000 licensed events annually.
