Tiffany Adkins
My name is Tiffany Adkins, and I reside in Branchland, WV with my husband Mark and our son Edward. I was born and raised in Pikeville, KY where Ive always had a love for dogs. My love for the coonhounds began when I met my husband back in 2011. He had a couple of Treeing Walker Coonhounds that stole my heart. He also had a litter of pups when we started dating. One of those tiny puppies ended up being the very first gift he gave me, who I named Laci. That was the start of our kennel.
Youth Nationals Bench Show Judge, Tiffany Adkins
I began showing his hunting dogs in local shows and fell in love with the sport. I knew then that I wanted to find a dog that I could compete with at the state and national level. I had many mentors who helped get me started that I am thankful for. I still look for advice from those that have been in the sport for years. It was shortly after, Mark surprised me with a dog who holds my heart, many know him as Southern All American Ruger. Ruger and I have gone on to achieve many accomplishments on the bench and in the conformation ring.
I am currently the Secretary of the West Virginia State Association, I am on the BOD of the NTWCA and I hold the Secretary/Treasurer position at our local club at the Lincoln County Coonhunters Association. I have judged many local, state and youth championships. I love all the breeds of coonhounds and Im excited for this opportunity to judge such a prestigious event. My heart is with helping and working with the future of our sport which is our youth! I am very honored that UKC chose me to judge this event, and I hope to be a positive influence on these kids and hope to give guidance and be a mentor to those who may need it just as those did for me all those years ago.
Guided by the belief that dogs make a difference by being the best partner a human can have in the field, on the job, or in a competition event, UKC is a community for people and dogs to pursue excellence together. Founded in 1898, UKC has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of Dogs That Do More, and their owners, by providing essential resources to help owners and breeders make informed decisions. The dog-human bond is celebrated through family-friendly programs highlighting the instincts and heritage of purebred and mixed-breed dogs alike at over 18,000 licensed events annually.
