Michael Seets
My name is Mike Seets and I live in the small town of Eddyville, Illinois. I was born, raised, and have lived here on the family farm all of my life. I have been married to my wife, Myra, for 21 years. Together we have three grandchildren, Preston, Ashton, and Ericka. We all enjoy hunting and riding horses on the farm.
I have always had a love for English dogs. I bought my first one in 1978. I always enjoyed the competition side of coon hunting. I have been very lucky in my years, to have won or placed in many top-level events. Those events include all seven chartered breed day events, Grand American, Winter Classic, and Autumn Oaks. In addition to my wins at those events, I have won the Purina Race seven times, and have handled three dogs to wins at the UKC World Championship.
I have judged all seven chartered breed day events and every major event on UKCs schedule at some point. This will be my third assignment at the UKC World Championship. I am really looking forward to this event in particular, as I feel like the level of dogs today are as high as theyve ever been. I want to thank UKC for this assignment. It is truly a great honor. Get your hound ready and Ill see you there.
Jackie Carpenter
Jackie Carpenter got her start in hounds with Plotts in 1985. She is a lifetime member of the National Plott Hound Association having served as President, Secretary, and on the Board of Directors during her tenure with the NPHA. She served as the secretary to local clubs and the treasurer of the Ohio Sportsmens and Sporting Dog Association for many years. In her position with the OSSDA, she worked diligently with the Youth to advance participation in hunts and shows in her state. Her roles in hounds also include several years as an ambassador for Purina.
Jackie has owned other breeds of coonhounds and beagles with much success. She worked hard to ensure she always had a hound any youth could show. Jackie enjoys coonhound and beagle events alike. She has many friends from the coonhound and beagle community, and the conformation ring.
Her past judging assignments include Youth Nationals, Premier, Autumn Oaks, most of the National Breed Associations, NHBA Nationals, the Don McVay Sr Memorial Show, and the AKC World Show.
